The Structure Data Intelligence process

  1. 01 AI-Automated Structure Digitization Deep learning and AI identify and digitize the structures in your corridor.
  2. 02 Building Attribution A type code for each building from your own structure type codes.
  3. 03 Tenants Tenants associated with each structure to validate its use.
  4. 04 Identified Sites Places where people gather or can't easily evacuate.
  5. 05 Geolocation Anonymous device counts that show how a structure is used.

01: AI-Automated Structure Digitization

Buildings change. Your record should too.

Built around advanced deep learning and artificial intelligence to identify and digitize structures accurately and consistently within an operator’s assessment corridor.

  1. Step 1 of 6 · Centerline & PIR

It starts with your centerline and PIR

Your pipeline centerline and potential impact radius (PIR) are imported first, so every building is measured against the same boundary your integrity program uses.

  2. Step 2 of 6 · Imagery

Current imagery, from your provider or ours

Enertech can work from your current satellite or aerial imagery provider, or procure imagery through our existing vendor network.

  3. Step 3 of 6 · Geometry review

Existing polygons, checked against the imagery

Each imported polygon is reviewed. Buildings visible in the imagery with a matching polygon are confirmed as Existing.

  4. Step 4 of 6 · New buildings

In the imagery, missing from the geodatabase

The deep learning model is configured with project-specific digitization criteria, and new structures are digitized.

  5. Step 5 of 6 · Obsolete buildings

In the geodatabase, gone from the ground

When a polygon no longer has a building under it, the structure is designated Obsolete and its polygon is removed or attributed.

  6. Step 6 of 6 · Expert Validation

A footprint record that matches the ground

GIS analysts validate polygon geometry, confirm completeness, remove false positives, and verify structures along the corridor.

Why this matters to you: Resulting in a complete polygon-based structure geodatabase that reflects real-world conditions and provides a reliable foundation for integrity management, risk analysis, and regulatory workflows.

02 Building Attribution

Confidence comes from understanding how a structure is used

By leveraging multiple authoritative data sources, each structure is accurately classified by using your established structure type codes.

  • Your structure type codes

Each structure is assigned a type code based on your organization’s unique classification standards.

  • Unit and Story Attribution

Unit and Story counts are attributed to support accurate class location and HCA determinations.

  • Everything is linked to Client Schema

Structure data is formatted to align with your existing schema, enabling seamless integration without requiring schema changes.

Why this matters to you: Attribution provides accurate structure classification, confidence in HCA analysis and Class Location determinations.

    03 Tenants

    Adding context beyond standard attribution

Understanding what tenants are occupying a structure provides additional confidence in structure classification decisions.

    • Tenant Identification

Businesses and residential tenants derived from authoritative data sources are associated directly with individual structures.

    • Structure Use Validation

Tenant intelligence is used to support structure type assignment and unit count validation.

      04 Identified Sites

Find the places that raise the stakes

Enertech's Identified Sites Analysis finds structures and outdoor areas where people gather often, or where people have limited mobility.

      • Limited mobility

        Daycare

Using authoritative tenant data, Enertech identifies and attributes daycares and other limited-mobility sites.

192.903Occupants are confined, have impaired mobility, or would be difficult to evacuate.

      • Building occupancy

        Business 20+

Tenant data and geolocation show which structures meet the identified-site rule based on their estimated occupancy.

192.903A building occupied by 20 or more people, 5 days a week, for 10 weeks in any 12-month period.

      • Outdoor gathering

        Outdoor Area

Tenant data and geolocation show which outdoor areas, like ballfields and event grounds, meet the rule based on estimated occupancy.

192.903An outside area occupied by 20 or more people on at least 50 days in any 12-month period.

      05 Geolocation

      Occupancy, measured

Geolocation data captures location data from GPS-enabled devices. Each point includes a timestamp and a unique, anonymous identifier. Which can be utilized to support occupancy determinations. Explore a year of data for a single structure.

      Illustrative data

Flag for review20+ devices on 5+ days in 10 or more weeks: this structure may meet the identified-site rule for buildings.

      • Unique devices per structure

Enertech uses the latitude and longitude of each ping to find the unique devices within each structure boundary.

      • Occupancy data points

Average devices per day, peak device count, and the number of weeks with 20 or more devices on 5 or more days a week.

      • Actionable results

The results give operators actionable data points for determining structure occupancy.
